What is the TOT Bot?

The TOT Bot is an AI powered, interactive halloween display that allows visitors to verbally chat with the character and receive spoken responses in the character’s own, unique voice.

Are the responses pre-recorded?

The only things prerecorded are messages spoken by the character to begin and end the conversations. Any other response is uniquely generated by AI based on what was actually spoken to the character.

Using speech recognition and AI language models, the character “thinks” and responds with kid friendly, Halloween messages.

Do I need an internet connection?

Yes. Being web based makes things as simple as opening a single web page in your web browser and you’re ready to go!

However, that means all the hard work is done somewhere else, which is why you need a reliable internet connection.

Do I need an external microphone and speaker?

That’s completely up to you.

An external microphone can help with creative positioning in props and also improve accuracy of the speech recognition while an external speaker allows for better audio quality and volume control.

However, the built in microphone and speakers of your device can work just as well if the environment is suited for it.

What web browsers are supported?

The technology used requires you to use one of the following web browsers:

Chrome – Version 139 (or above)
Edge – Version 139 (or above)
Safari – Version 14.1 (or above)

*Mobile web browsers are not supported

Is this the only character available?

At them moment, yes.

This is the first version available. However, plans are already underway to add more themes and characters as well as improved animation for a more realistic experience.
